How to Choose the Weighing Cell?

In today's era, the era of rapid industrialization and rapid iteration, there is strict control of quality in all walks of life, this is, the weighing system plays an important role. The load cell should take into account many factors when selecting it: quantity, range, sensitivity, maximum number of divisions, minimum verification scale value, accuracy, drift, etc. are indicators that must be considered in sensor selection.

There are many factors to consider when selecting weighing sensor. In actual use, we mainly consider the following factors. In addition, the sensitivity, maximum indexing and minimum calibration indexing of the weighing sensor are also indices that must be considered in the selection of the sensor.

The number of sensors is chosen according to the use of electronic weighing apparatus and the number of points needed to support the weighing body (the number of points to support should be determined according to the principle of coincidence of the geometric center of gravity and the actual center of gravity of the weighing body). Generally speaking, a few sensors are selected for several supporting points of the scale body.

The range selection of the sensor can be determined by the maximum weighing value of the scale, the number of sensors selected, the weight of the scale body, the maximum offset load produced and the comprehensive evaluation of dynamic load factors. Generally speaking, the closer the range of the sensor is to the load assigned to each sensor, the higher the accuracy of its weighing. But in actual use, besides the object, there are loads on the sensor, such as the weight of the scale, the weight of the scale, the eccentric load and the vibration impact, so many factors should be taken into account when selecting the sensor to ensure the safety and life of the sensor. Here is an empirical formula that has been validated by a large number of experiments.

The selection of weighing sensor form mainly depends on the type of weighing and installation space to ensure proper installation and safe and reliable weighing; on the other hand, the suggestions of manufacturers should be considered. For sensor manufacturer, it generally stipulates the force condition, performance index, installation form, structure form, material of elastomer and so on.
