3 Types of Weighing Scales

While strain gage is the most common weighing technology because of it’s good accuracy and lower costs, force motor has become the alternative for high precision weighing. Yet this second technology has some innate flaws and a high cost that make it a less than ideal solution. Actually, there are many types of weighing scales. Following will mainly introduce 3 types of it.

Crane Scale

Crane scale is a crane weighing equipment, integrated with the mechanical control part of the crane, to achieve weighing in the crane travel It monitors the predetermined weighing position through a proximity switch, the hydraulic conversion to the weight of the load in the bucket to achieve weighing.

The crane electronic scale is based on 2 pressure sensors mounted on the oil inlet and oil return roads of the crane boom cylinder, respectively, and is the determination of cylinder pressure change during lifting of crane boom, and adjust the speed, the CPU in the vehicle instrument automatically calculates, resulting in weight data, and display the resulting weight on the meter screen.

Weighing Load Cell

A weighing sensor is actually a device that converts a mass signal into a measurable electrical output. Sensors should first consider the actual working environment in which the sensor is located, which is essential for the correct selection of the weighing sensor,It is related to the ability of the sensor to function properly as well as its safety and service life, and even the reliability and safety of the entire weighing device. In the basic concept and evaluation method of the main technical indexes of the weighing sensor, there is a qualitative difference between the old and the new GB.

Weighing Scales

Weighing scales are devices to measure weight or calculatemass. Spring balances or spring scalesmeasure weight (force) by balancing the force due to gravity against the force on a spring, whereas a balance or pair of scales using a balance beam compares masses by balancing the weight due to the mass of an object against the weight of a known mass or masses. Either type can be calibrated to read in units of force such as newtons, or in units of mass such as kilograms, but the balance or pair of scales using a traditional balance beam to compare masses will read correctly for mass even if moved to a place with a different (non-zero) gravitational field strength (but would then not read correctly if calibrated in units of force), while the spring balance would read correctly in force in a different gravitational field strength (but would not read correctly if calibrated in units of mass).
