How to judge the fault of weighing load cell?

Damaged cable.

False welding, poor contact.

Bad insulation.

Check the exposed cable of load cell.

Check the input/output resistance, whether is normal/stable or not: if not stable,  the internal circuit is false welding, poor contact.

Check the insulation resistance between the signal terminal and the shielded wire or elastomer with the multimeter 200M resistance,whether is larger than 200M,if less than 200M, it indicates that the insulation is not good.

Zero output signal too large

Bridge disconnection.

Overload because of impact.

Check the input/output resistance, whether is normal or not, if not normal, may be the internal circuit has a short-circuit phenomenon.

Check the resistance symmetry: measure the resistance of red/green and red/white parts, then test the resistance of black/green and black/white. If the difference of four resistors within 0.1 Ω, it is normal. If the resistance is lager than 0.1 Ω, the load cell is overload because of impact.

No signal

Cable disconnection.

Bridge disconnection.

 

Check cable.

Check the input/output resistance whether is normal or not, if deviate from normal from the normal value or infinity indicates a short circuit.

 

 

Notice:

1.Judgment toola half 4 bit  multimeter;

2.When measuring the input and output resistance, please select 1K Ω, and the measured resistance should be XXX.X Ω;

3.When measuring the insulation resistance, please select 200M Ω;

4.When measuring the input voltageEX+ and EX-,please select DC 20V ;

5.When measuring the output signals (Si+ and Si-), please select the DC millivolt (DC 0 ~200 MV);
