Viewing by eyes is to observe that whether the wiring between the instrument and the sensor is normal. And we should find out that whether the power supply and controlling line are connected normally. Also, the problem that whether there is a break or short circuit should be checked. And we need to observe whether there is scorch inside the instrument, whether there is water and whether the insurance is disconnected as well.

 

At the same time, the transformer, the cable, the filter capacitor and other elements can be touched to with our hands to check that whether the temperature of them is abnormal.

 

Insertion

For example, if the digital weigh indicator works in instability, we can unplug the connection cable from the junction box to the instrument and connect it to the simulator. And if the meter reading is stable again, it indicates that the problem lies in the junction box or the sensor, otherwise we will look for the problem from the meter.

 

Comparison

The comparative method is a method that uses multimeter, oscilloscope and other instruments to measure the voltage, resistance, waveform and other data of the parts with suspected faults, and we can find out that whether the components fail or not by comparing with the normal value.

Waterproof

Generally speaking, although the humidity of the working environment can reach 95%, it is stipulated that no condensation can be generated. Special enclosure gauges made of  stainless steel with waterproof function are excluded.

 

Anti-Corrosion

Corrosive substances should not infiltrate into the inside of the instrument, otherwise the components on the circuit board and the circuit board will be corroded, and the digital weigh indicator may be scrapped after a long time.

 

Lightning Protection

The digital weight indicator is vulnerable to lightning attack which causes the damage of components. Under normal weather, the operator only needs to switch off the power. But in the case of close strike, power plug and the signal cable plug must be unplugged.

 

Strong Power Protection

The digital weight indicator may be damaged if the line of power supply is over 220 volts, which is accidentally connected to the weighing platform.

 

Resistance Against the Quake

When the instrument is transported, it is best to put it in the tableland box, or we should take appropriate measures to strengthen the resistance against the quake.
